Let’s talk about yoga breakthroughs!
They can come in so many different ways, shapes and forms.
Emotional, psychical, and spiritual.
When I broke my back, there was this long list of poses that were once hard, that now seemed so much harder. I wasn’t sure how long it would take until I was able to do the things that I wanted to do.
I knew with persistence, dedication to myself and my practice, love for myself, and patience that I would get there— but when? Always asking myself; when?
At a certain point, something just clicked and I stopped caring about the when.
I started caring about the how, the where, the what.
And most important I never forgot WHY,
Why I am doing this.
Why I am practicing yoga.
Why I am here.
Why I am beautiful.
Why I am on this journey. .

This morning was my first time trying this pose. I always see this pose on the gram, and I want to try it, but I know my back well enough. I know my body well enough. Severe scoliosis and a compression fracture in T6 requires some extra love, extra patience.
Today I had a wild inspiration to jump on my mat (@aloyoga air travel mat 🖤) I felt open.
I took my glasses off and began to flow blind.
My body called to this. My foot just said “hello head!” I’m so glad I got this snippet for you guys!
Don’t mind my messy loose bun, and unswept yoga studio. 👀 .
