For the aspect of Zen, in which I am personally interested, is nothing that can be organized, taught, transmitted, certified, or wrapped up in any kind of system.
It can’t even be followed,
for everyone has to find it for himself. — Allan Watts, This Is It
Day 9 of #SummerLovinYoga is the whole reason I switched my yoga practice from Yin Yoga to focusing on strengthening my shoulders, arms, and core last August. ARM BALANCES. 😍😜🤗 (was working towards lifting that left arm off the ground but this was my fav pic of the sequence and only my fingertips are off the ground 🤷🏻‍♀️)
Arm balances and inversions just make me feel at home. They make me the strange uncomfortable that I need to be in order to grow, AND in order to feel badass. 😎
Like come on, who doesn’t feel like a total badass when they do an arm balance or inversion of any kind? 💪🏼😝💁🏻
I used to look at pictures like this and think there’s no way I’d be able to do that.
Now I look at pictures of all of these amazing yogi’s and I say “one day.” 💃🏻💪🏼 The strength needed to practice arm balances and inversions doesn’t come easily. Don’t think the journey I took to get here was simple, easy, or started last month.
If I can do it, you can do it. 💚
