Charlie and I are about to drive to get a 200 CC motorcycle (dirtbike) registered in our names! 🏍
Our cabana is in the middle of nowhere, and we wanted to find some transportation. .
When I stayed in Norway for the first time (one month) Charlie paid a little over $3,000 for a rental car for the month.
The second time I stayed in Norway for a month our friend rented us his camper van and helped us save money and be a million times more comfortable.
This time, we are staying in Belize a month, We looked into getting a dirt bike rental for the month we are living here, and after meeting two locals selling bikes, it’s cheaper to purchase one.
Roads are NOT easily accessible to cars here, paved roads are NOT common and when a village gets one, they are beyond grateful.
About 10% of the entire Belizean population owns a vehicle. The rest of them walk, ride the bus, or hitchhike.
